Homespun Rainbow Blanket

When I crocheted, I probably made over a hundred items from Lion Brand Homespun Yarn.  It was soft and cuddly.  Bulky weight meant it was quick to make anything from a scarf to a poncho to an afghan. Weaving has not dimmed my love of Lion Brand Homespun.  A recent project  inspiration for my weaving group was "Rainbow Connection" and I was inspired to do this blanket. I also wanted to do a large project on my smallest loom - my 10" SampleIt. because it is done in panels with a bulky yarn, it is a quick weave.  The texture of the yarn also makes it very forgiving. This is woven  in seven panels - each panel takes almost a full skein of yarn.  I whipstitched the panels together - next time I will probably use a baseball stitch to join the panels.
